Operation Medicine Cabinet

Just a reminder to everyone that Operation Medicine Cabinet commences on Saturday November 14. This is the day that community members can bring their unused medications to a community site for proper disposal. Prescription drug abuse is a growing concern among all individuals, especially our youth. The less medications in the house the better! The most common place that adolescents obtain prescription drugs to abuse are in their home. Long Branch, Oceanport and West Long Branch are all participating in this event. Please visit www.operationmedicinecabinetnj.org for information on where the disposal sites will be located.

Welcome to the Coastal Monmouth Alliance.

The Alliance provides drug and alcohol prevention education to the municipalities of Long Branch, Oceanport and West Long Branch through the Human Services department of Long Branch and partially funded by the GCADA.

Throughout the year there will be links to our newsletters and our Resource Guide available on this site and I will occasionally add links to important websites and keep you updated on our events. I will also try and post some helpful parenting tips along with current alcohol and drug trends and legislation to keep the community informed.

Please feel free to view our Resource Guide which provide insight into our communities as well as departments and services available to the community. Including treatment information.

Also please take a look at our most recent newsletter.

Soon I'll post the yearly calendar which will allow you to be more aware of our upcoming events and opportunities.
